Lyles Golden Syrup & Black Treacle

Lyle's Golden Syrup is one of those delicious products that you will find in almost every traditional British larder. It makes the taste of porridge jump up and sing and is great in treacle tarts (see Blighty's Treacle Tart recipe), sticky puddings and even spread on toast. Lyles Golden Syrup is made from partially inverted cane sugar and is also known as "light treacle".

Lyles Black Treacle is made from Cane Molasses and adds a very distinctive richness to dark fruit cakes, Christmas puddings, parkin and gingerbreads.
